This personal narrative begins with an investigative glance into the mindset of a 7-year old girl who was unexpectedly displaced from Lithuania to Luxembourg in the beginning of the 1990’s. A Lithualien in the land of bananas is a collection of surreal little details that struck and confused a young girl who managed to see glimpses of her homeland freeing itself from the isolated, regulated and supervised life imposed by the Soviet regime before she moved to the prosperous Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg where she could have bananas all year round.
